3 days Queen Elizabeth Safari, the national park covers 1978 square kilometers. It’s the second largest national park after Murchison. It was named kazinga national park in 1952 but renamed after the visit of the Queen Elizabeth in 1954. Queen Elizabeth is 440 kilometers from Kampala and just 18 kilometers from Kasese town. The park has recorded over 95 mammals; elephants, leopards, lions, buffaloes, hyenas, hippopotamus, Uganda kobs, bushbucks, giant forest hogs, and 600 bird species, unique landscape with many explosion craters lakes, chimpanzee at kyambura gorge and seasonal flamingos.

Itinerary for 3 days Queen Elizabeth Tour

Day 1: Drive to queen elizabeth and Equator Experience

The tour starts in the morning, our driver guide will receive you from the hotel or airport in Kampala or Entebbe respectively. Driving to Queen Elizabeth national park takes approximately 6-7 hours but with numerous stop over. Like; equator stop, for refreshment equation experiment and coffee or tea, in addition to the multi souvenir shops. Mbarara for lunch, then driving through big banana plantations as well as tea plantations too. Arrive at the lodge in the park or near the park in the evening. Check in and if time allows a sunset drive in the park.

Day 2: Explore queen and a boat trip along Kazinga channel

We start off early in the morning for a game drive. Animals seem to be more active at this time of the morning, good chances of seeing vast wildlife. Such as; Uganda Kobs, Elephants, waterbucks, buffaloes, lions, warthogs, leopards, giant forest hogs, amazing birdlife; African hawk eagle, grey kestrel, martial eagle, verreaux eagle owl, white browed coucal, Caspian tern, papyrus genelek. Return to the lodge for a hot lunch. After lunch, you will go for a 2 hour boat cruise along the Kazinga channel. This is a natural channel connecting two lakes of George and Edward. It a good habitat for hippopotamus, Nile crocodiles, monitor lizards, buffaloes, elephants, and also birds; king fisher’s, African fish eagles, African spoonbill, great cormorants, hamerkop, African darter, hadada ibis, cattle egret, fulvous whistling duck, squacco heron, among others. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: explosion crater lakes, depart for Kampala/Entebbe

Breakfast in the morning, check out. Go for another game drive this time into the explosion crater, a very unique track with less gaming but very scenic, beautiful lakes and sometimes herds of elephants, depending on your wish, you can just try your lions luck on the side of kasenyi plains and other wild game. After 3-4 hours of the game drive, we set off for Kampala or Entebbe driving through the amazing countryside. Stop for hot lunch on the way. Arriving in the evening.
