The elevation of the park ranges between 1100 meters and 1600 meters above sea level. A very true unique rainforest one of its kind in East Africa harboring over 13 primate species, such as; common chimpanzee, red colobus monkey, black and white Colobus monkey, l’hoest’s monkey, blue monkey, mangabey, in addition to big mammals; elephants that migrate from queen Elizabeth national park through a forest corridor connecting the two parks, African buffalo, giant forest hogs, bush pigs, warthogs, leopards, serval and African golden cats. Over 325 bird species have been recorded; ground thrush, western tinker bird, green breasted pitta, African grey parrot, and the great blue turaco. Just mention but a few.

Day 1: meet and drive to Kibale Forest via Fort portal
Meet and greet our driver guide in the morning. Start onto the journey to Kibale national park, the drive takes approximately 5 hours through different green regions before fort portal. A very green town with rich history, many tea estates in the region provides a big green Capet of the crop. Other cash crops grown include the famous matooke (green bananas), cotton, maize. Continue to the lodge for check in and lunch. In the afternoon, we go for a swamp walk at bigodi wetland sanctuary. This home of over 240 bird species and 5 primates. A good exercise having spent 5 hours in the car.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking Kibale and other primates experience
In the morning after an early breakfast, assemble at the visitor of Kibale national park for briefing. This is conducted by the park management, as they take you through the proceeds and safety and conservational aspects of chimpanzee tracking. Late you will be distributed into groups before being led by a ranger guide for actual tracking. Chimpanzee tracking can be short, average, even long, but grantee of seeing them. This can be attributed to the prevailing weather conditions and availability of food for the chimpanzee, the hike is very rewarding after meeting and interaction with the chimps. After an hour with them you will be escorted out of the forest by your ranger guide. Return to the lodge for lunch and overnight. Other optional activities can be arranged in the afternoon.
Day 3: Transfer back to Kampala/ Entebbe
Departure for Kampala or Entebbe. After breakfast you will bid farewell to the primate capital and return to your destination, enjoying the green drive through the countryside. Stopping for lunch on the way, arriving in the afternoon.
