Exceptional 2 days Lake Mburo Safaris, Lake Mburo National Park is Uganda’s smallest savanna park, located in western Uganda, Kiruhura district. The park covering 370, it’s a wildlife gem. The national park is surrounded by cattle keeping communities who keep the indigenous type of cattle called the Ankole Longhorn Cattle. Wildlife animals such as, Elands, buffaloes, impalas, Topi, bush bucks, warthogs, leopards, hyenas, waterbucks, zebras, giraffes and the endless bird checklist; African finfoot, African scops owl.

Itinerary for 2 days Mburo National Park Safari

Day 1: early morning departure to lake mburo national park

Our driver guide will pick you from your hotel in the morning to start journey to Lake Mburo national park. The journey takes approximately 5 hours with numerous stops o the way, driving through small towns to a first official stop at the equator. The zero latitude experiment showing the difference between the northern and the southern hemispheres. Good souvenir shops, tea and coffee shops reward the break, continue to the park for a hot lunch and check inn. A boat ride on Lake Mburo to see crocodiles, hippopotamus, fish eagles, kingfishers among others. A game drive in the evening to see animals such as; impalas, buffaloes, giraffes, elands, topi, bush bucks, water bucks, leopard, hyenas, warthogs, baboons and many birds. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: morning game drive and transfer back to Kampala/ Entebbe

In the morning after an early breakfast, we go for a game drive in different tracks of the park for more game viewing Like; buffaloes, leopard, giraffes, hyenas, impalas, elands, zebras, bushbucks, bush pigs which are more active at this time of the morning, in addition to vervet monkeys and baboons. Kazuma outlook presents a top view of seven lakes at the highest point in the park. After 3-4 hours of great sightings, we drive back to Kampala or Entebbe. Lunch on the way. Arriving late afternoon or early evening.
