Our 3 days Gorilla Tracking bwindi national park which covers 331 square kilometers located in the south western part of Uganda. In 1993 Bwindi was named a UNESCO world heritage site, not only because it harbors half of the endangered mountain gorillas but also over 120 mammals, a health number of chimpanzees, 348 species of birds, unique culture of the batwa people. Itinerary for 3 days Gorilla Tracking Bwindi forest National Park
Day 1 : Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Safari starts in the morning as our driver guide picks you from the hotel in Kampala or Entebbe, driving south west through big towns and numerous stops. Equator’s stop for the experiment of the change in hemispheres, this is a must stop for coffee, tea, stretching legs, souvenir shops. Continue to mbarara for lunch passing through lake Mburo national park, on lucky day sights of wildlife has been recorded; apart from the traditional long horned cattle, zebras and impalas have been sighted on this road. After lunch Bwindi impenetrable National park lies in proximity of 4-5 hours arriving in the evening. Check in at our lodge.
Day 2: Gorilla Tracking Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
A once in a lifetime experience is today, visiting the mountain gorillas in their natural habitat comes after a morning breakfast, with your tracking boots on, with enough drinking water and packed lunch, we drive to the park office for briefing. Here you meet other people how will be joining you for today’s tracking. After briefing you we led by a Uganda wildlife ranger guide together will escorts into the forest to see the gorilla family allocated to you. The trek can be short, medium, and long depending on the lucky of the day, surety is that you will see gorillas and the reward of seeing then compensates the effort. Recommended time with the gorilla is one hour and after your ranger will bring you back to the starting point where you will meet to drive guide to bring you back to the lodge, depending on the arrival time, an optional activity can be done (community walk). Dinner.
Day 3: Transfer back to Kampala / Entebbe
With the memories of the gorilla tracking experience, enjoy the breakfast in the morning before checking out to start on a 9-10 hours journey back to Kampala or Entebbe for your flight back home or hotel.
